[H. Pylori Infection Test]
Purpose of Examination
- This examination is performed to determine the presence or absence of H. pylori, which is believed to be involved in the development of gastric and duodenal ulcers.
- After taking the diagnostic agent, the patient's breath is collected and analyzed. This procedure takes approximately 30 minutes.
Exam Day Precautions
- Please finish breakfast by 9:00 a.m. and do not eat lunch on the day of the examination. You may drink water.
*Do not drink alcohol after 9:00 p.m. the night before the test. (You may drink water.) - You may take your regular medications.
- Do not smoke.
