Patients have the right to respect for their human dignity in their medical care.
Patients have the right to fair and impartial access to necessary medical care, regardless of their condition.
Patients have the right to receive sufficient explanation of, and necessary information on, their treatment program, nursing care, and medical condition, and to choose their medical care with voluntary, informed consent. The patient’s right to a second opinion will also be honored.
The patient’s medical and personal privacy shall be protected.
In the event the proposed modality of treatment is in a research stage, the patient has the right to receive a thorough explanation of said treatment in advance, decide whether to undergo said treatment, and refuse said treatment at any time with no disadvantages whatsoever to the patient.
Patients have the right to request disclosure of their own medical records.
In order to ensure quality medical care, patients are asked to be as accurate as possible in communicating their mental/emotional/physical condition and other necessary information to the physician or other health care provider.
In order to be fully informed of their medical care, patients are asked to make sure they understand the explanation of their treatment program. Please ask as many questions as you need to, for as many times as you need to, if you do not fully understand.
Please refrain from using mobile phones in areas where their use is restricted.
In order to ensure the best medical environment for all patients, please refrain from smoking, drinking, engaging in physical violence or verbal abuse, shouting, making loud noises, or otherwise behaving in ways which may inconvenience others. Please also comply with hospital rules and regulations.
