Medical Care Center for Neurocognitive Disorders has opened since 2013.
Matshuzawa hospital has been designated as a Medical Care Center for Neurocognitive Disorders by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government since 2013. The Center offers a full range of medical and social care support for patients with neurocognitive disorders and their care givers. At the first visit to our outpatient clinic, the patient can receive a specialist’s examination, neuropsychological assessments, MRI, and a general physical examination all at once. We have two wards especially designed for patients with severe neurocognitive disorders. One is mainly for patients with difficult behavioral or psychological symptoms of dementia and the other is for patients with physical complications.
- provide differential diagnosis and treatment of dementia
- treat behavioural problems and complications associated with dementia
- encourage partnership with the community
- provide specialist consultation
- develop human resources in offering specialist care and providing support to the community.
All the staff make efforts to acheive these goals.
(We cover Setagaya-ku, Shibuya-ku and Meguro-ku as the secondary care area)
