Below is a description of the types of support provided by each counselor. Please note, however, that our counselors coordinate with one another and other departments to offer the best consultation service possible. Please feel free to request a consultation at any time.
1. Patient Consultation Desk
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you experience any problems during your hospital stay or have any issues with your treatment by the staff or with the hospital services.
A suggestion box is also available if you wish to submit your question or opinion in writing.

2. Patient Support Center
Social workers in the Social Rehabilitation Office are ready to offer consultation on various issues related to patients’ illness or mental or physical disability that may arise during their medical treatment.
The Patient Support Center offers also offers consultations on medical costs, the pension system, life after hospital discharge, the discount policy for outpatient medical care, and various welfare policies.
The Patient Support Center carefully manages all information given and received during consultations. Please feel free to let us know if you would like to receive a consultation.

3. Second Opinion Consultations
Second Opinion Consultations are available for patients who wish to hear the opinion of other hospitals or physicians regarding their current diagnosis or treatment during their hospitalization.
If you wish to receive a Second Opinion Consultation, please prepare the following materials in advance.

Cooperation with medical practice conducted in the hospital
Case study aimed at improving the quality of medical care
Basic materials for the maintenance and improvement of medical and nursing care services and operations
Materials for medical research and academic research (conference presentations)(We will use it after making it impossible to identify or identify an individual.)
4. Disclosure of Medical Records
Based on the principle of informed consent, at Matsuzawa Hospital we inform our patients about the details of their treatment to facilitate the sharing of treatment information between patients and health care workers and disclose patients’ medical records to the relevant parties to achieve a high quality of medical care.

5. Patients’ Opinions Regarding Hospitalization or Treatment
Patients (or their families) who have issues with the treatment received during hospitalization may submit an official request to the Governor of Tokyo for hospital discharge or improvement of their treatment.
Patients may also contact the following offices to request a formal investigation into issues related to their hospitalization or treatment.
