Our Services
Our Dentistry Department provides dental care mainly for inpatients and outpatients at our Hospital. About eighty percent of the patients are with mental disorders. Dental characteristics of psychiatric patients include a high rate of dental caries and periodontal diseases. Contributing factors include poor oral hygiene, decreased salivary secretion as a side effect of antipsychotic medications that lower intraoral auto-purification, and excessive drinking of sweet beverages.
As dental caries and periodontal disease often recur early after treatment, we also put emphasis on oral hygiene management.
Our Clinic
We have full-time and part-time dentists and part-time dental hygienist. You need an appointment in advance and a referral letter from your doctor.
