1. Medical Treatment Details and Features

　We provide life-saving emergency care for newborn infants in Tokyo’s Tama area in cooperation with adjacent Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. The Tokyo Metropolitan Tama Medical Center is a super perinatal comprehensive medical center with functions of both perinatal medical center and maternal emergency life-saving center. We provide neonatal medical care for all kinds of disease by taking advantage of the unique functions as a pediatric general hospital by working closely with all clinical departments in this hospital. We actively carry out delivery and neonatal transport for birth outside our hospital 24 hours a day, 365 days a year using a dedicated ambulance for neonatal emergency transport.

2. Main target diseases

• We provide medical care to patients with any kind of disease during neonatal period, and also with diseases requiring surgery.

At our hospital, as a rule, except in the case of emergency cares at ER we only accept patients based on a referral appointment system.
